Software OverviewSoftware UpdatesStay InformedAnnouncements about new software are made through TeraGrid User & System News. Stay up to date on early testing periods and production rollout dates by visiting the News page or by subscribing to email (RSS feeds coming soon.) CTSS UpdateCTSS changed on August 14, 2007. TeraGrid has a new registry for software and services. Documentation is now more accessible and easier to search. Supported Applications Software![]() TeraGrid supports a wide range of scientific, visualization, and mathematics software (sometimes referred to as third-party software). Search the supported applications database by software title, TeraGrid platform, or science category. This software is installed and maintained by the TeraGrid staff at each resource provider site.
Community Software Area![]() Don't see the software you need in the Supported Applications Database? Request a common location to install executables, scripts and libraries that will be shared by a community of users. No need to use home directories to share software. TeraGrid staff will back up this area. Visualization Software![]() Visualization software is listed in the Supported Applications Database; see the Data Analysis and Visualization category. For more information about visualization hardware at TeraGrid sites, visit the Visualization Resources page. Site-Specific Software![]() From any TeraGrid computing resource command line, browse the TG_APPS_PREFIX directory to see software local to the site but not in CTSS. You can also search for software in the Supported Applications Software Database. Software Environment![]() Add entire pre-set groups of variables to your environment by using SoftEnv to include all of your executable and library paths, regardless of your choice of login shell. CTSS![]() Each TeraGrid platform supports the Coordinated TeraGrid Software and Services Current (CTSS). No matter which machine you log in to, you can expect to find a common set of compilers, software, libraries, and services, and common methods for managing your environment. |
