Logging in to an Individual TeraGrid Resource

If you plan to run jobs or store data on only one resource, the login information that you received for that resource in your account information packet may be all you need to know. You will use either SSH v2 with a password or SSH v2 with key pairs and a passphrase; the method depends upon the policies of the resource provider (RP) site.

• To see a list of login nodes where you have accounts, log in to the User Portal using your TeraGrid Wide password, and select the My TeraGrid tab.

Multiple site Single Sign-on: If you intend to do grid computing, i.e., moving data or running jobs across multiple TeraGrid sites and resources, then you'll want to use Single Sign-on. With Single Sign-on, you can log in (authenticate) at the beginning of a session from one resource or from your own workstation, no matter how many resources you are working on in a session. See the Accessing TeraGrid Overview page to select the set-up method for Single Sign-on that fits your circumstances.
