The Presentations of the TeraGrid '06 plenary speakers—Dr. Arden Bement, Charlie Catlett, Dr. Dan Atkins, Professor Donna Cox, and Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier—where webcast live. Additionally, the Science Impact track conference sessions where webcast live and archived for on-demand viewing at www.cichanel.org.
All webcast sessions, as well as four high demand tutorials, where archived for playback following the conference. The archived utorials include: Tutorial 2—TeraGrid Institute, Tutorial 4—The Virtual Data System, Tutorial 5—Science Gateways, and Tutorial 7—Data Collections.
The live webcasts, and the archived sessions, are made possible by the CI Channel, a streaming video service for scientific project communities. It is developed and supported by a team in Educational Outreach and Enterprise Network Services at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. For additional information on accessing the live webcasts and archived presentations, see www.cichannel.org
TeraGrid '06 is a forum for individuals and institutions who are interested in building and using cyberinfrastructure. NSF (National Science Foundation) Director Dr. Arden Bement was the conference keynote speaker. OCI (Office of Cyberinfrastructure) Director (Designate) Dr. Daniel Atkins, Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier, and Professor Donna Cox, Director of Visualization and Experimental Technologies at NCSA, where invited keynote speakers for the first annual TeraGrid Conference—TeraGrid '06, Advancing Scientific Discovery—to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 12–15. Charlie Catlett, Director of TeraGrid, provided a "State of the TeraGrid Address".
