TeraGrid at SC06

Workshops:

Join us for the Grid Interoperability Workshop on Sunday, November 12 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM in Salon H of the Tampa Marriott Waterside, next to the Convention Center. Invited speakers will address interoperability issues and perspectives at the international, national, and campus level. The invited speakers include: Dane Skow, Satoshi Matsuoka, Philip Papadopoulos, Charlie Catlett, Ruth Pordes, Gary Bertoline, Geoffrey Fox, and Dan Bradley.

Education Program:

The Purdue team, led by Krishna Madhavan and Gary Bertoline, are organizing this year's Education Program which will be held from Saturday through Tuesday, November 11-14, 2006, in the Tampa Marriott. Diane Baxter (SDSC), Stephenie McLean (RENCI), and Brad Armosky (TACC) are leading a session on Monday afternoon describing educational resources available through TeraGrid.

Exhibit Floor:

The TeraGrid partners will exhibit in multiple booths throughout the Convention Center show floor. There will be presentations every hour, demonstrations of the impact of cyberinfrastructure on research and education, and opportunities to talk with TeraGrid staff and users. The Exhibit Hall opens Monday evening with a gala from 7-9 PM, and is then open daily Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Charlie Catlett will lead the presentations in the TeraGrid portion of the ANL booth on Monday evening from 7:00 to 7:30 PM by providing an overview of TeraGrid.

Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) Sessions:

The “Science Gateway, Portal, and Other Community Interfaces to High-End Resources” BOF will be held on Tuesday, November 14 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in rooms 22-23, led by Nancy Wilkins-Diehr.

The “Pathway to Petascale Science” BOF on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 5:30 to 7 PM, in rooms 24-25, led by Thom Dunning, Francine Berman, John R. Boisseau Daniel Reed, Ralph Roskies, Edward Seidel, and Rick Stevens

The “Evaluating Petascale Infrastructure Systems: Benchmarks, Models, and Applications” BOF, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 5:30 to 6:30 PM in room 17, led by Allan Snavely, Robert Fowler, Daniel Reed

The “TeraGrid Outreach and Campus Partnerships” BOF will be held on Thursday, November 16 from 12:15 to 1:15 PM in rooms 24-25, led by Charlie Catlett, Gary Bertoline, and Scott Lathrop.
